ClickOnce deployment allows you to create a package that can be installed from a Web site that installs the application on the client. This could also be done in earlier versions of VS. What makes ClickOnce special is it allows you, as the developer, to set the package to look for updates. Using the update option on a ClickOnce package as a developer, you can make an update to the application and publish it. When the user of the application executes the application the next time, the package will recognize there s an update and ask the user to install it. This installation doesn t require administrator permissions on the workstation. The only exception to this is if the application has a prerequisite that isn t installed on the workstation. For example, the PurchaseOrderReceivedCheck application has a prerequisite of the .NET Framework 3. If a workstation doesn t have the .NET Framework 3 installed, an administrator must install it first. This architecture allows users to install an application to their desktop from a Web site, and when updates are available, the updates are delivered to their desktop automatically. For more information about ClickOnce deployment, see an article I ve written entitled ClickOnce Deployment with VS 2005 for the Web site ASPToday (http://www.ASPToday.com). Deploying a project with ClickOnce is easy. You can create the application as you normally would. Changes need to be made when the application is ready to be installed. Free community development licenses . And in fact, that s what it would have done if we were using a reference type. However, it has noticed that CanChange is a value type, and has therefore rejected the code. (The error message says nothing about value types, but you can verify that this is the heart of the problem by changing the CanChange type from a struct to a class. That removes the compiler error, and you ll find that the code aai[20].Number = 456 works as expected.) Why has the compiler rejected this seemingly obvious solution Well, remember that the crucial difference between reference types and value types is that values usually involve copies if you retrieve a value from an indexer, the indexer returns a copy. So in Example 7-27 the elem variable holds a copy of the item at index 20. Setting elem.Number to 456 has an effect on only that copy the original item in the array remains unchanged. This makes clear why the compiler rejected our code the only thing it can do with this: aai[20].Number = 456; windows.media.ocr example c#Have a look at these CodeProject articles: Creating Optical Character Recognition (OCR) applications using Neural Networks[^] c# ocr readerJul 31, 2014 · The Microsoft OCR Library for Windows Runtime allows developers to add text recognition capabilities to their apps. Supported platforms: ... is to call the get accessor, and then set the Number property on the copy returned by the array, leaving the original value unaltered. Since the copy would then immediately be discarded, the compiler has wisely determined that this is almost certainly not what we meant. (If we really want that copy-then-modify behavior, we can always write the code in Example 7-27 ourselves, making the fact that there s a copy explicit. Putting the copy into a named variable also gives us the opportunity to go on and do something with the copy, meaning that setting a property on the copy might no longer be a waste of effort.) where table is the table you want to add an entry to, value_1 is assigned for the first column of the table, value_2 for the second column, and so on. The number of values must match the number of columns of the table. The INSERT statement has another syntax that lets you specify the columns you need to add values to: INSERT INTO table [(target_column_1,..target_column_N)] VALUES (value_1,..value_N); Here, target_column_1 will take value_1, and target_column_2 will take value_2, and so on. The number of column names must match the number of values, and the values are associated with the column names in the statement in order. As an exercise, type the following queries into the command line of your connected database. These INSERT statements will add two entries to your statues table: INSERT INTO statues VALUES (1, 'Godzilla'); INSERT INTO statues (statuecode, statuename) VALUES (2, 'Cloverfield lizard'); You might be thinking that the compiler could read and modify a copy like Example 7-27, and then write that value back using the set indexer accessor. However, as Example 7-24 showed, indexer accessors are not required to work in the obvious way, and more generally, accessors can have side effects. So the C# compiler cannot assume that such a getmodify-set sequence is necessarily safe. This problem doesn t arise with reference types, because in that case, the get accessor returns a reference rather than a value no copying occurs because that reference refers to the same object that the corresponding array entry refers to. But why does this work when we use the array directly Recall that the compiler didn t have a problem with this code: aai.TheArray[10].Number = 123; c# modi ocr exampleMar 7, 2016 · Tesseract is one of the most accurate open source OCR engines. ...
